HOW EMERGENCY THERAPY WORKS

How does Emergency Therapy work?

The first step is to become a member. You will register via our online form and pay a $19.99 membership fee. This fee will be charged to the credit card you have provided once a month unless you cancel your service. This allows you to email a licensed social worker or psychologist the questions you would like to discuss. As part of the membership, you can send up to five emails per month and can ask up to three questions per email.

In addition, you may call (877) Blake-50 toll free and talk to one of our therapists for $49.99 for one thirty-minute telephone session. Being a member of Emergency Therapy also includes many other important and exciting aspects. You will be emailed special and unique inspirational stories, opportunities to participate in self help events in your area, receive a members only online therapy guide, free downloadable books, and be given special tools to help you improve your life.

For only $19.99 per month, you will be given the chance to transform your life and have access to our team of qualified, licensed therapists.

How does email therapy work?
Once you have registered as a member and paid the first monthly fee, you may enter your questions in the box given and they will be routed to our therapy team. We will connect you with an available therapist and he or she will personally respond to your email at the email address you provided. Therapists offer advice and suggestions to help you with your questions. The therapist will email you within six hours or less of submitting your question. In some instances, your email will be responded to in as little as five minutes. We guarantee you will receive a response within six hours or your membership fee will be refunded for the month. To clarify, you sign up as a member providing your email address. You enter your questions in the box. We receive your email and have one of our licensed social workers or psychologists respond to you at your email address in 6 hours or less.

How does telephone therapy work?
Once you have registered as a member of Emergency Therapy, you may call (877) Blake-50 to speak to one of our therapists over the phone. Each session costs $49.99 per thirty minutes. You will be asked by our operators to pay for your session with any credit card. Once paid, we will connect you with one of our therapists. If, at the end of your 30-minute session, you feel you need more time, we will gladly allow you to pay for additional time. Once finished with your session, you can choose to participate in a follow up session whenever you like. We often suggest once a week if you are facing a challenge. If your problem is extremely challenging, you might choose to have 2-3 sessions per week. If for any reason you are not enjoying the benefits of your conversations with the therapist we have chosen for you, we will gladly connect you with someone else. Each therapist has been hand chosen by Blake because he feels they are very capable to help you.

What is the difference between Internet Therapy, Telephone Therapy, and In Person Therapy?
For many years, people would call their insurance companies, look in the yellow pages or ask a friend for a therapist. They would then call up the therapist and hope to set an appointment. The therapist might not call back if their schedule was full or they were not available. If they did have an opening, it could be the same week or even in a few weeks. An appointment would be made and eventually the client would have a session. Hopefully, the therapist and patient would ‘click’ and continue to meet together. Other times, the patient felt dissatisfied and would either try finding another therapist or give up on getting help. The amount of effort it took to get help was time consuming and frustrating. Now, more and more people are pressed for time and have high levels of stress. People have the need for help but often not the time or energy for traditional counseling. Internet and telephone therapy offer many advantages. These include: Access to your therapist 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Generally, if you have a problem, you either go to the emergency room or wait until you can find a therapist. Emergency Therapy provides a qualified, licensed therapist instantly, anytime you need it, at a very affordable cost.

Internet therapy is different than traditional counseling. For many, it takes away the stigma of what they are going through, for example, with sexual addiction, anger issues, or insecurity. It is easier for many people to email their feelings to a therapist than to speak about things face to face. Also, many people have made email such a part of their lives that they feel comfortable interacting through this method.

In addition, email is quicker and easier than in-person sessions.

The phone is even faster. Telephone therapy offers many positives, including human voice contact, which can be reassuring. In fact, many traditional therapists use telephone sessions as a way to work with clients when they are out of town. In addition, telephone counseling lets you participate wherever you are, whether on a trip, at home, or at work. Many studies prove telephone, email, and in person therapy sessions help. We believe obtaining therapy is important. You can improve your life, but only if you take action. Emergency Therapy can help you and we hope you will try us.

OUR THERAPISTS

May I stay with the same therapist?
You will be connected with a therapist that initially responds to your email or telephone call. Once they work with you, you are welcome to continue using the same therapist. As part of membership in our email therapy program, you will be allowed to email your therapist up to five times per month. You may ask up to three questions per email. This is all included free in your $19.99 monthly membership. You may also choose to have a telephone session with that therapist for an additional $49.99 for a thirty-minute session. If you would like to email the therapist more than the five times, you may purchase additional email packages by emailing us at therapypackages@emergencytherapy.com

What if I do not like the therapist you connect me with?
Each therapist is a licensed social worker or psychologist with experience helping people. They all have attended and completed graduate school. Blake has hand picked each of them for their caring demeanor and ability to solve problems. If for any reason you do not want to work with the therapist chosen, you will be offered another. We know that each therapist has different styles and abilities and will work our hardest to find someone you work well with.

It is very important that only Emergency Therapy and your therapist has access to information about you. Your credit card information is kept private, as is your email address and any information about you and your sessions. As licensed social workers and psychologists, our therapists have a code of ethics that clearly states that we are not to share information about you with anyone. Under these oaths are some small exemptions:
• Our therapists are supervised to ensure they are properly working with people. Supervision is provided by another therapist and is confidential. The therapist might discuss cases with their supervisor.
• If someone is going to hurt themselves or others, it must be reported. This is a law and we take this very seriously. If you feel that you want to hurt yourself or someone else, do not call us. Go to the nearest emergency room at your local hospital right away.
• Certain laws require us to report suspected child abuse. If it is suspected that a child is being abused, we must report this to state and local agencies.
• In certain instances, courts require us to provide them with our records. We will do everything in our power to keep your information private, but we must comply with the law.

For the majority of our members, none of these issues will ever come up. However, it is important that you know our legal and ethical responsibilities.

Paypal and our merchant account provider handle the processing of your payments. We have used Paypal because they are the most well-known and reliable online payment provider. Even with that being said, we cannot guarantee their actions or security.

It is with our best intentions that your emails and telephone calls are kept private. We do our best to have our emails kept private on our end. We have no control over your email accounts and the privacy and safety of them. We can promise you that we will not share your email address or any other information except as detailed above.

In the event of a power loss, natural disaster or Internet attack, certain information could be stolen, destroyed or lost. We will do our best to have additional records stored on our servers to combat this.

MISCELLANEOUS

Why Was Emergency Therapy Started?
Blake Le Vine, LMSW was fifteen when he was hospitalized and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He spent several years in and out of hospitals and going to many different therapists. Some of the therapists were okay, others didn't help and one was great. When he found the right therapist, his life began to improve. At age 18, Blake came up with the idea for Internet and telephone therapy before anyone was providing it. Blake ended up becoming an in-person therapist himself and found that many people missed appointments, didn't have the time to come to an office, and were not finding the help they need. Also, every therapist did not take calls late at night when many people have problems. He decided to launch Emergency Therapy to help others.

Blake believes people around the world have issues that are holding them back. Whether it is obesity, relationship, drug, alcohol, anxiety, depression or other problems therapy is a healthy way to deal with these issues and resolve them. Blake has received requests from hundreds of therapists wanting to work for Emergency Therapy and he has only picked therapists he feels are trained, compassionate, and capable to help you right now.

In addition, Blake is using his communication skills to have his message spread through the media, books, films, and television shows. At only 29, Blake has two published books, a feature film titled Rap Therapy, hosted television programs, proposed live on The Dr. Phil Show, appeared on CNN, Fox 5, Entertainment Tonight, The New York Post, New York Daily News, The Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Enquirer, The Maury Povich Show, The Jon Stewart Show, Nickelodeon, ABC, NBC, and over 300 radio programs around the world. We hope you will use Emergency Therapy to make positive changes and to allow yourself to become the person you were destined to be.
